Community Information Sessions

July 12, 2024

The Capricornia Energy Hub Pumped Hydroelectric Energy Storage (PHES) and Transmission Project (located downstream of the existing Eungella Dam) was declared a coordinated project by the Queensland Coordinator General on 18 April 2024.

The Draft Terms of Reference for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) has now been released by the Office of the Coordinator General (OCG). The Draft and instructions on how to make comments via written submission to the OCG is available at http://www.statedevelopment.qld.gov.au/capricorniaphes . A QR code is provided below.

The Draft Terms of Reference is open for public commentary from Monday 15 July 2024 and will close on Friday 23 August 2024.

We are committed to genuine, wide ranging and open community consultation throughout the duration of the approval process for this project and will be updating the local community in the coming weeks at Community Information Sessions to be held in Eungella, Nebo and Collinsville.

Community Information Sessions will be held at:
Collinsville Community Centre – 23 July 2024, 4pm-6pm
Nebo Community Sports and Recreational Club – 24 July 2024, 4pm-6pm
Eungella Hub – 25 July 2024, 4pm-6pm

The local community will also have the opportunity to make submissions and learn more about the project in the lead up to the release of the Draft EIS. For more information or for any questions, you can get in touch with our project team via [email protected] or 1800 979 686.
